What Readers are Saying:

5.0 out of 5 stars   Getting beyond the myths about meditation

ByCharles A. Rayon January 30, 2017
Format: Paperback
How to Meditate by Tahlia Newland is a brief, but comprehensive book on the value of meditation. It includes a history of meditation and its benefits, and has a thorough set of guidelines for achieving the most from meditation. The author dispels many of the myths that Westerners have about meditation and gives complete guidelines for incorporating meditation in your daily life.
If you’re already meditating, or considering starting, this book will set you on the right path to get the most from it. Its easy-to-read style makes it a must-have for beginners and a good jolt to the brain cells of veterans as well.
I received a complimentary e-file of this book, and have already found several extremely useful nuggets of wisdom to incorporate in my own daily meditation routine.

5.0 out of 5 stars   This is an accessible, friendly book that takes you …

ByM A Cooperon January 31, 2017
Format: Paperback
This is an accessible, friendly book that takes you by the hand and walks you through everything you need to start a meditation practice. In fact, even though the book is short it packs in a lot more than just tips on how to get started. Readers will get explanations and descriptions about a range of meditations – all delivered in a clear, helpful manner. The writer is obviously talking from personal experience and that helps to lift the book into a special category of meditation support.

5.0 out of 5 stars   easy to follow meditation manual accessible to everyone

ByRae Hathertonon January 31, 2017
Format: Paperback
“‘Stop Now and Simply Be’ – many meditation instructions say this but then ask you to stop your mind, which has most people quit right there. Tahlia draws from ancient traditions that instruct how to have thoughts, not let them have you and how to remain still-minded in the process. I am grateful to Tahlia for providing a simple and direct, easy to follow meditation manual accessible to everyone.” Rae Hatherton ND – Author of Alive! An Energy Plan for Life

5.0 out of 5 stars  Encouraging and supportive primer on meditation

ByKEVIN BERRY, AUTHORon February 8, 2017
Format: Kindle Edition
This is a clearly-written primer on meditation that would suit a beginner. There are a variety of techniques and script to help you on your journey of self-discovery. I found the section at the beginning of the book on the benefits of meditation interesting – I didn’t know this at all. The author’s tone is supportive, instructive and encouraging.
