Out Now: Becoming Human by Kenneth L. Decroo

December 22, 2018 by Tahlia Newland

When Dr. Ken Turner and his colleagues finally find half-human, half-chimpanzee hybrids in the dark jungles of the Congo, they think they are at the end of their long quest, but shady government agents have discovered the hybrids and plan to exploit them for military use. With the ruthless agents growing ever closer to realizing their goals, Dr. Turner and company must find a way to protect the creatures without destroying their careers and, for that matter, their very lives.

What Readers Are Saying

“Becoming Human by Kenneth L. Decroo is a frightening tale of science unguided by ethics, and the devastation that can be wrought by government agencies that operate without benefit of effective oversight. Step-by-ominous-step, the author takes you from the relatively benign environs of Reno, Nevada to the dark menace of the Congolese jungles, to the even more dangerous environs of smuggling dens in Germany and the Netherlands. An eclectic, and all-too-believable cast of characters will hook your interest from page one, and at the end, leave you breathless and looking over your shoulder and wincing at every sound.” Charles Ray, Awesome Indies Book Awards.

About the Author

Kenneth L. Decroo believes you must live a life worth writing about. Before he became an educator and consultant for universities and school districts, he worked for many years in the world of research and wild animal training in the motion picture industry. He holds advance degrees in anthropology, instructional technology, and education. He lives and writes in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California with his wife, Tammy. When not writing and lecturing, he loves to ride his BMW adventure motorcycle down the Baja Peninsula to beaches and bays without names.
